What is a bad hire?
Bad hires are good people who cannot do the job for which they were hired. They are often smart, hard working people in a particular job, who simply lack the critical traits or abilities that are necessary to be successful at that job. Essentially, bad hires cannot do the job.

What is a good hire?

What is different about this report from all the others out there?
Many of the others are based on simple assessments from over fifty years ago. While they can be fun, they rarely offer you any specific or practical direction. In some cases, they can even be dangerously misleading. Visit www.aboutassessments.com to learn more about the differences in the world of assessments.
The other dramatic difference is the price. The unlimited feature allows the client to use BestWork DATA to assess 100% of the job applicants, using the Quick Screen Charts to screen out bad hires without expensive interviewing time or frustrating reviews of hundreds of similar resumés.

Why does BestWork DATA have so many reports?
Every BestWork DATA report is written specifically for a single business decision and a particular audience. The recruiting person deciding on the job candidate is looking for somewhat different information than the manager who will supervise the new hire. The training director needs something focused on training issues. This level of specificity is one aspect that enable BestWork DATA reports to be easily used without special training or interpretation by experts.

What do you mean when you say that BestWork DATA is not an “event” like so many other assessments?
Most assessments are used for a hiring decision, based on a percentage match to some model. The rest of the reports are often generalized and offer little specific advice beyond the hiring. BestWork DATA believes that the hiring of a new employee includes helping them to a level of productivity. To assist in this, specialized reports are provided for onboarding, training and management within the talent acquisition package. A complete program of talent management tools can be added that include communication, work group analysis, and performance troubleshooting.

How was the information on the critical factors for the jobs collected?
The job factors were compiled over 25 years of working with hundreds of actual companies to analyze the relationship of personality traits and cognitive abilities to job performance. Additionally, we had the benefit of being a principal advisor on job behaviors for an organization dealing with thousands of companies.

How can I find out about jobs that are not included in the BestWork DATA menu?
